Toddlers & Children
The key to getting great images of toddlers and young children is to make the photography as much fun as possible.
Getting children to laugh is one of the things that I love about my job; I do not believe that simply pointing a camera in a child's face is not going to capture their personality; their natural inquisitiveness or their love of life.
The best images are almost always produced when children are relaxed, comfortable and happy as overly posed or staged smiles usually end up with gritted teeth and squinty eyes and an uncomfortable reminder of school photos!
Plain white clothes (cotton dresses, white t-shirts) and jeans with bare feet work best with little ones as we want the focus to be on your child and busy clothes can be distracting.
We are a very child friendly studio, but a favourite toy or teddy is always a bonus, as they will feel more relaxed with something familiar to hold on to.
